As local practitioners and producers we have observed a need for more opportunities to support the artistic community in Devon. We feel that Devon could benefit greatly from opening up access points and becoming more connected as a county. Wide Awake Devon aims to develop the arts ecology in Devon by creating access points and support networks for the arts community. To ensure dialogue between both artists, venues and organisations and also to uncover potential resources available in order to help artists devise creative ways to produce and promote new work. As part of our reseach we want to know your opinions on the arts ecology and what your challenges may be, as a member of the artisitc community. - We are interested to know how this can improve and what Wide Awake Devon could do to help. Some of our ideas are: * Open Space Events. * Venue Circits. * Mentoring Schemes for new and emerging companies and artists. * Masterclasses. * Scratch Nights. * Networking Opportunities.
